Requirements
• Skills needed: Senior data engineer experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark. Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL databases, ETL processes, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP is required. Responsibilities
• Building tools and infrastructure for Data Products and Insights & Innovation teams as well as supporting business needs. • Collaborating with all levels of the Data and AI team to develop data solutions that support analytics, machine learning, and GenAI use cases. • Maintaining and enhancing Amazon Redshift data warehouse while accelerating transition to a new Databricks-based environment integrated with dbt for modernization efforts. • Designing, building, deploying components of a modern data platform including CDC-based ingestion using Debezium and Kafka, Hudi-based centralized data lake, batch, incremental, and streaming pipelines. • Ensuring continuity while driving the transition to new technology platforms by maintaining legacy systems for stability and reliability during this process. • Balancing innovation with operational excellence in building fault-tol01t, scalable, cost-efficient data systems that improve observability, performance, and reliability across both legacy and modern platforms. • Working closely with cross-functional partners to plan and roll out infrastructure supporting analytics needs for accurate and timely delivery of insights. • Responding promptly to PagerDuMonitor alerts or system issues that may arise during the operation of data systems, ensuring platform reliability is maintained at all times.
