Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related roles • Strong hands-on experience with Azure data services (Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, ADLS) • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance and metadata management • Solid understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and data domain modeling • Proficiency in Python and SQL • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT patterns and data modeling • Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders in an advisory or consulting capacity • Experience with PySpark or Spark SQL • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric • Experience defining data governance operating models or data ownership frameworks • Background working with a Microsoft systems integrator or consulting firm • Microsoft certifications (Fabric, Data Engineering, or Data Governance)
Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, Databricks) • Implement data transformations and processing using Python, SQL, and Spark • Build and support data warehouse or lakehouse solutions in Azure Synapse or Microsoft Fabric • Lead data governance implementation using Microsoft Purview, including data cataloging, classification, lineage, and access policies • Support and advise clients on data governance frameworks, operating models, and best practices • Design and integrate Master Data Management (MDM) concepts, including reference data, golden records, and data ownership models • Partner with analytics, BI, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted, well-governed datasets • Monitor, optimize, and support data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost
