Requirements
• Clearance: Active Secret Clearance • Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field with at least 4 years of relevant systems engineering experience • Substitutions: An Associate’s degree with six years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma/GED with eight years of relevant experience. • Experience applying technical standards, principles, and theories to solve moderate-scope technical challenges • Ability to generate system requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams on implementation strategies • Familiarity with system conceptual design, performance assessments, and verification methods • Strong analytical skills to assess technical performance measures and ensure system compliance • Experience with AWS cloud services and environments • DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification • At least one cloud certification • Knowledge of system modeling, simulation tools, and requirements management processes • Experience in hardware and software integration for system development projects • Understanding of government regulations and industry standards for system engineering • Exposure to system verification and validation methodologies • Strong communication and problem-solving skills to support technical and business development initiatives • Experience with Agile development methodologies
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, evaluate, and modify system-oriented products throughout their life cycle • Generate system requirements based on customer descriptions, system planning, and acquisition logistics • Ensure compliance with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop lower-level implementation requirements • Support development of standards, practices, and procedures related to product development • Design and integrate system interfaces to ensure seamless interoperability of system components • Assess system performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures • Participate in design reviews to ensure traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation • Develop and execute system-level verification procedures and customer acceptance test plans • Review test plans and procedures to ensure alignment with contractual objectives and participate in system testing activities • Support systems engineering activities across multi-cloud environments including AWS, OCI, and Azure • Assist with modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy or on-premise systems to cloud-native architectures • Support implementation of Zero Trust security principles, including Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) practices • Monitor distributed infrastructure, virtual machines, and system health metrics to ensure reliability and scalability • Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across program functions • Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded • Identify and forward to leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area • Participate in growth efforts as requested • Ensure all contractual deliverables are met or exceeded to the customer's satisfaction • Complete personal PDP and attend Staff Meetings and Storytime (with camera on) • Build productive and positive professional relationships with clients within your program • Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the contract-specific LCAT and requirements • Perform other related duties as assigned
