Requirements
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Localization Project Management. You know the traditional localization lifecycle and MTPE workflows inside out. • Tech-Forward Mindset: You are familiar with the concepts of Generative AI and LLMs in localization. You understand how tools like ChatGPT or automated TMS workflows can aid efficiency. • Prompting Basics: Ability to write clear, structured instructions (prompts) to guide AI output or human vendors. • TMS Proficiency: deeply experienced with tools like Crowdin, Lokalise, or Smartling. • Operational Excellence: You are highly organized and can manage file versions, Jira tickets, and invoices without losing track of details. • Previous exposure to Crypto/Fintech terminology. • Familiarity with Mobile App localization flows (iOS/Android strings). • Fluency in a second language (beyond English). • Basic understanding of how to set up simple automations (e.g., Slack, Jira automations).
Responsibilities
• Develop and manage localization projects for the company's digital products within Singapore. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliverables. • Oversee translation of textual content into various languages while maintaining brand voice consistency. • Work closely with translators, editors, proofreaders, and other localization professionals throughout the process. • Ensure that all translated materials meet quality standards before release to customers in different markets. • Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets; provide regular updates on status reports or dashboards as required by management. • Identify potential issues early, such as cultural sensitivities or language nuances not captured during initial translations that may require revisions after release to customers in different markets (post-release review). • Participate actively within team meetings and discussions related to localization strategies; contribute ideas for process improvements based on experience gained from working with diverse teams across multiple languages/cultures. • Liaise between technical writers, designers, developers when necessary during handover of translated content back into source files (back translation). • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about industry trends and best practices related to localization processes; attend training sessions or workshops offered by employer/industry partners whenever possible. • Provide feedback on customer satisfaction surveys regarding quality of translated materials delivered through various channels (e.g., email, social media). • Actively seek out new opportunities for professional development within localization field; attend conferences or seminars related to language services industry when available locally/regionally at no extra cost from employer if applicable based on company policy regarding travel expenses reimbursement. • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information shared during project meetings with colleagues across different departments within organization; adhere strictly following organizational policies related to data protection laws governing handling personal identifiable details (PII). • Communicate effectively using appropriate technical terminology when discussing complex topics such as software development processes or translation workflows among team members who possess varying levels of expertise across different domains.
