Responsibilities
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both UI and Backend components. • Perform UI testing across web and mobile platforms, including functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing. • Conduct Backend testing, including API validation, microservices testing, workflow verification, and data integrity checks. • Lead structured exploratory testing sessions to uncover edge cases, usability concerns, and high-risk defects. • Review user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability before development begins. • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to identify requirement gaps early and improve overall product quality. • Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, expected/actual behaviour, and supporting evidence. • Partner with developers and stakeholders to support timely defect triage and resolution. • Participate actively in test planning, estimation, and test coverage discussions to support release readiness. • Maintain clear documentation of test progress, results, and coverage metrics. • Take ownership of quality for assigned product areas and contribute to release readiness and go/no-go recommendations. • Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and best practices across the team. • Support efforts to increase automated test coverage across UI and Backend areas in collaboration with automation-focused team members. • Stay up to date with QA tools, testing trends, and industry best practices.
