Requirements
- Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's “coordination hours" (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
- 5+ years of experience working with large scale codebases and systems
- 3+ years of experience working with React, Typescript, and GraphQL
- 3+ years experience in Python, Java, C++ or similar programming language
- 2+ years experience in designing APIs or building UI products for external developers
- A passion for learning and always improving yourself and the team around you
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Passion for code quality and designing elegant systems

- There are many factors that will determine the starting pay, including but not limited to experience, location, education, and business needs.
- US candidates only: For US based applicants, the salary range is $172,279 - $291,466 USD + equity + benefits.
- Canada candidates only: For Toronto and Vancouver based applicants, the salary range is $225,933 - $305,791 CAD + equity + benefits. For all other locations in Canada, the salary range is $210,871 - $285,405 CAD + equity + benefits.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to advise on product roadmap.
- Rapidly prototype and implement new product features from ideation to production using modern web technologies.
- Create innovative features and developer experiences with our APIs.
- Advice on the integration of AI models into Poe's platform for enhancing Developer API capabilities.
- Contribute across different stack layers, including frontend development (HTML/CSS), backend services using Node.js or Python frameworks like Django or Flask, and database management with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Take shared ownership of the cross-functional product development cycle from planning to deployment.
- Plan for scalability in new feature implementations considering potential future growth and user demand increases on Poe's platform.
