Requirements
• Experience developing sophisticated data pipelines in cloud-based environments (e.g. AWS) using scalable data processing tools (e.g. Apache Spark) • Demonstrated ability to work with others, particularly providing guidance to other data • Ability to communicate around complex ideas and topics in English with both technical and non-technical individuals. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies • DevOps skills, especially CI/CD experience • Configuring and maintaining cloud-based cluster computing resources and orchestration systems (e.g. EC2 instances, Kubernetes clusters, Elastic Beanstalk) • Veeva’s headquarters is located in the San Francisco Bay Area with offices in more than 15 countries around the world.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain databases to store large volumes of structured and unstructured data efficiently. • Design database schemas that support the organization's business processes while ensuring high performance and scalability. • Implement robust backup and recovery procedures for all critical systems, including regular testing of these measures. • Monitor system health using automated tools to ensure databases are running optimally at all times. • Optimize queries and database structures based on usage patterns to improve response time and resource utilization. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, ensuring that the organization's systems can handle current demands as well as future growth. • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations regarding data privacy and security within all aspects of database management.
