Requirements
• 2+ years building products. • Strong experience with backend systems (Python preferred). • Clear communicator - both in person and in writing. • Bonus: background in B2B SaaS and 0 - 1 experience • Above all: drive, grit, and ownership. Responsibilities
• Develop backend systems using programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, Ruby on Rails etc. to handle data processing tasks efficiently. • Design scalable and robust database schemas that can manage large volumes of data with high performance requirements for read/write operations. • Implement caching mechanisms where appropriate to optimize system responsiveness under heavy loads or during peak usage times. • Integrate various APIs into the backend systems, ensuring secure authentication methods are in place (OAuth2). • Monitor and troubleshoot issues within the backend infrastructure using tools like New Relic or Datadog for proactive performance management. • Write unit tests to validate code functionality before deployment; maintain a comprehensive test suite that covers all critical paths of application logic. • Collaborate with frontend teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring seamless communication between the two sides during development cycles (e.g., using JIRA or Slack). • Stay updated on emerging technologies in software engineering to continuously improve system architecture; participate actively in knowledge sharing sessions within the team for skill enhancement.
