Knowledge of DO-178C, MIL-STD-882, STANAG, or other safety/airworthiness frameworks
Comfort operating in dynamic R&D environments where rapid iteration and tight feedback loops are the norm
Responsibilities
Oversee the Embedded Aircraft Division operations in Dallas/Boston area.
Develop and implement strategies to improve division performance and efficiency.
Manage a team of embedded systems engineers and technicians within the aircraft division, providing leadership and direction as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on goals related to product development, manufacturing processes, quality control, supply chain management, etc., for Embedded Aircraft Division products or services.
Monitor market trends and competitive landscape within the embedded aircraft industry in Dallas/Boston area; identify opportunities for growth and expansion of division operations as well as potential threats to business interests from new entrants into this sector.
Develop, review, approve, and implement policies related to workplace safety standards specific to Embedded Aircraft Division's operational environment in Dallas/Boston area; ensure compliance with all applicable federal regulations governing the industry (e.g., FAA).
Participate actively in meetings of senior management teams, committees or boards as required by organizational structure and responsibilities at Shield AI Corporation to discuss strategic direction for Embedded Aircraft Division's operations within Dallas/Boston area; provide input on key decisions affecting division performance.
Represent the company in public relations activities related to embedded aircraft industry, including attending trade shows or conferences as a guest speaker and participating in media interviews when appropriate (e.g., local news outlets).
Maintain regular communication with customers through various channels such as email correspondence; phone calls; face-to-face meetings at customer sites to discuss their needs, address concerns related to Embedded Aircraft Division's products or services and provide technical support when necessary.
