Requirements

• Strong understanding of databases, query optimization, and distributed systems. • Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS is preferred but not required; willingness to learn quickly accepted. • Proficiency with Typescript, React on the Frontend, Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy for Backend development (preferred). • Familiarity and experience with Kubernetes deployment technology are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains fast and reliable user experience for customers. • Collaborates with other engineers to develop APIs, data models, and services that power Semgrep’s products at scale. • Works on backend systems using Typescript, React, Python, Flask, SQLAlch0me, Kubernetes, AWS technologies (though not required). • Integrates third-party vendors into existing first-party code when necessary.

Benefits

• The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is $202,000 to $238,000 USD. The actual base salary will be determined based on a number of factors, which may include job-related skills, relevant experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and market data. In addition to base salary, total compensation may include equity, variable compensation, and benefits.
