Requirements
• Fluent in English • At least two years of experience as a technical individual contributor on AI-based products. Preferably data scientist or software engineer with proven experience in product implementation involving APIs and interfaces for both back-end and front-end systems, including fine-tuning LLMs (Large Language Models) • Deep understanding of concepts and algorithms underlying machine learning and LLMs • Strong technical coding skills in Python • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms with both technical and non-technical audiences. Ideally, experience as a Customer Engineer or Forward Deployed Engineer is preferred but not mandatory. Contribution to open-source projects related to LLMs considered an asset
Responsibilities
• Individually help deploy into production use cases with a considerable business impact across various industries. • Work on state-of-the-art GenAI applications from consumer products to industrial use cases, driving technological transformation in collaboration with customers. • Collaborate with researchers and other AI engineers/product engineers on complex customer projects involving fine-tuning LLMs (Large Language Models) for tasks such as inference and contributing to open source codebases related to Mistral technology, including but not limited to RAG or agentic use cases. • Be involved in pre-sales calls to understand potential clients' needs, challenges, aspirations; provide technical guidance on our products explaining the capabilities of Mistral technologies and answer questions from various stakeholders (CEO/CTO, data scientists, software engineers). • Collaborate with product and science team based on customer feedback to continuously improve product and model capabilities.
