New Era Technology - Senior Engineer
Responsibilities
• Provide remote and onsite technical support across client infrastructure, systems, and network environments. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, server, and network issues. • Lead the implementation of infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system improvements. • Act as an escalation point for technical issues and mentor junior engineers. • Work closely with clients to understand business requirements and recommend suitable technology solutions. • Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, implementation plans, and project deliverables. • Support solution design, architecture, and technical pre-sales activities, including proposals and tenders. • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and issue resolution. • Maintain system performance through monitoring, proactive maintenance, and process automation. • Keep technical documentation accurate and up to date while continuously expanding technical expertise across supported technologies. • Who are we looking for • Successful candidate must possess: • 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, or a similar role. • ITIL certification or experience working within ITIL-based service environments. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. • Strong experience in System Architecture Design. • Extensive experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP). • Strong expertise in Network Configuration & Management, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Load Balancing. • Extensive experience with Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). • Strong knowledge of Security Technologies, including Firewalls, VPNs, and Identity Management. • Experience with Windows Server and Linux environments. • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and/or Python. • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. • Customer-focused with strong attention to detail. • Proven leadership and mentoring capability. • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. • Adaptable, collaborative, and able to work effectively within a team.
