• Proven experience managing and growing engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management. • Strong ability to drive technical decision-making and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment. • Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Solid hands-on backend engineering experience, with proficiency in Golang or similar languages. • Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures, APIs, and integration patterns. • Experience with SQL and relational databases. • Knowledge of secure software development practices and OWASP principles. • Champion of AI-first development — experience setting standards for AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and code generation using LLMs and tools like Claude Code or similar. • Experience delivering in agile environments, adapting processes to what actually works for the team. • Full professional proficiency in English — written and spoken. • Experience in the payments industry or with PSP integrations. • Hands-on experience with cloud and DevOps environments (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
