Requirements
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA, essential) • At least 3 years post-qualification experience in a financial accounting or similar role • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, including leasing • Prior experience managing complex audits • Comfortable and confident with presenting to senior leaders • Proactive and self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy • Experience with financial accounting software (NetSuite) would be beneficial
Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly divisional and consolidated management accounts, liaising with finance representatives to finalise results, reporting on variances as required and providing commercial insight • Own the annual audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors, and preparing statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS • Ensure that reporting is compliant with all relevant accounting standards and keeping up to date with new reporting standards that may impact the company • Act as the first point of contact for technical accounting and financial reporting • Perform balance sheet and inter-company reconciliations to ensure integrity of the general ledger and financial records • Reviewing monthly VAT returns and liaising with tax to provide necessary reporting • Manage and develop the financial reporting team, promoting high standards and reviewing their work as necessary • Provide support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts • Drive continuous process innovation to improve reporting accuracy, strengthen controls and improve efficiency
