Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required • CPA license (or actively working towards one) is strongly preferred • 4 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Ability to work under pressure and perform several tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environment • Experience working with financial accounting software (e.g. Intacct, FloQast) is a plus • Excellent Excel and analytical skills, including vLookups, pivot tables, etc. • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and accounts payable processes • Other Information: • Other Information: • Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000
Responsibilities
• Assist in the monthly and quarterly accounting close processes, including preparing analyses of financial information, preparing journal entries and maintaining supporting schedules • Conduct period-over-period variance analyses and provide clear, conclusive explanations for material fluctuations • Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations, including activity review and discrepancy resolution for key areas including prepaids, fixed assets, accrued compensation, general accrued expense accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy • Regularly collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to research, resolve and communicate findings on accounting-related questions regarding business transactions and other non-routine matters • Oversee full cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payments • Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships • Monitor AP aging and resolve discrepancies or issues proactively • Assist with financial reporting and support internal and external audits • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
