Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for cloud deployments within Mistral AI's infrastructure. • Oversee the development lifecycle from conception to deployment in various cloud environments ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance standards are met. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, QA engineers, and DevOps professionals to align technical solutions with business objectives. • Implement best practices for security within the team's projects while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies. • Monitor cloud infrastructure health using monitoring tools; proactively identify potential issues before they impact users or services, initiating corrective actions as needed. • Develop strategies to optimize costs associated with cloud resources without compromising on service quality or performance requirements. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship for junior engineers within the team fostering their professional growth in areas such as architecture design, deployment automation, infrastructure management, security best practices, etc. • Participate actively in code reviews to maintain high coding standards across all projects; provide constructive feedback aimed at continuous improvement of engineering processes and products. • Stay abreast with emerging technologies relevant to cloud deployments such as containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), serverless computing, infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Pulumi, etc., ensuring the team is well equipped for future projects requiring these skills.
