Requirements
• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering or backend/platform engineering • Strong experience building and scaling data platforms and infrastructure • Deep expertise with AWS and modern open-source data tooling • Experience working with technologies such as: • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) • Ability to drive technical decisions and collaborate cross-functionally • Comfortable owning tooling, standards, and platform strategy for multiple teams • Strong communication and mentorship skills • Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or fintech • Experience improving developer experience (DevX) for data teams • Exposure to governance and data reliability initiatives • Previous startup or high-growth company experience
Responsibilities
• Design and build scalable, reliable, and observable data infrastructure • Own and evolve core platform tooling and architecture strategy • Build systems that improve developer experience and data accessibility across teams • Collaborate with engineering, product, analytics, and reporting stakeholders • Define and implement best practices around governance, tooling, and platform standards • Mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction across the organization • Deliver iterative improvements in ambiguous and fast-moving environments • Balance speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability
