Requirements
• Essential • Essential • 12+ years of technology leadership, including 5+ years leading a GCC, delivery centre, or large-scale offshore hub (80–200+ people). • Proven experience building and scaling teams, including designing organisational structures and hiring senior leadership. • Strong engineering or technical delivery background (e.g., Engineering Manager, Architect, Technical Delivery Lead). • Demonstrated ability to uplift technical maturity, improve delivery quality, and strengthen operational reliability. • Experience managing in a matrix, integrated delivery model where teams support multiple markets and delivery outcomes depend on influence and alignment rather than direct control. • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, QA, data, PM/BA, and operations. • Strong stakeholder management and experience working with multi-client, multi-region delivery teams. • Ability to operate and influence effectively in a partner-led model (e.g., DEPT® + Hexaware). • Preferred • Preferred • Previous experience in a digital agency or consulting environment is highly regarded, particularly within global or matrixed delivery structures. • Familiarity with modern engineering practices, automation, cloud environments, and QA acceleration. • Exposure to AI-assisted QA or productivity-enhancing engineering tools.
Responsibilities
• 1. Strategic Leadership & Centre Growth • Build long-term capability across engineering, QA, AI/data, PM/BA, and other technical and delivery disciplines. • Define and execute the multi-year strategy to establish the GCC as a core global delivery hub for DEPT®. • Lead the operating model, governance cadence, reporting structure, and performance framework for the GCC. • Align GCC capacity and capability growth with global market demand and regional priorities. • Represent the GCC as a senior DEPT® leader in global forums and leadership discussions. • 2. Organisational Design & Leadership Structure • Design and build the full organisational structure for the GCC, including hiring and developing craft leads, people managers, and operational roles. • Lead all GCC teams directly, establishing a strong leadership spine and effective succession planning. • Set clear goals, capability standards, performance metrics, and review rhythms for all GCC functions. • Embed DEPT®’s culture, leadership expectations, and ways of working into the GCC environment. • Partner with the EVP Technology to deliver the global AI mandate inside the GCC. • Hold craft leads accountable for AI adoption, with targets for productivity, quality, and bench upskilling. • 3. Technical Leadership & Capability Maturity • Provide senior technical direction, ensuring the GCC consistently meets DEPT®’s engineering and delivery standards. • Define and uphold the technical bar for hiring across engineering, QA, data, and related roles. • Govern calibrations, technical assessments, and capability frameworks. • Partner with global craft and delivery leaders to mature technical practices and introduce modern engineering approaches. • Support the adoption of automation, QA acceleration, and emerging technologies including AI-assisted quality and productivity tooling. • Drive 'Bench Value': Ensure staff in the strategic pool are actively upskilling or contributing to internal accelerators, so they remain 'hot' for assignment. • 4. Hiring Quality, Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning • Own GCC hiring quality end-to-end, ensuring strong sourcing, screening rigor and technical assessments. • Partner with Hexaware and DEPT® Talent Acquisition to build proactive talent pools and reduce reliance on reactive hiring. • Monitor hiring velocity, rejection trends, skill distribution, and multi-market demand. • Ensure effective onboarding, technical ramp-up, and integration into global delivery teams. • Lead multi-year workforce planning aligned to DEPT®’s capability and market growth strategies. • 5. Delivery Readiness & Operational Excellence • Ensure the GCC reliably supports delivery across global regions, maintaining high-quality, predictable performance. • Partner with Regional Resource Managers to maintain real-time visibility of talent availability, ensuring the 'Supply' side meets the 'Demand' forecast." • Ensure 'Day 1 Assignability': Guarantee that bench resources are technically trained, culturally inducted, and administratively ready. • Identify delivery risks early and manage escalations collaboratively with Hexaware and DEPT® leadership. • Strengthen cross-functional processes across TA, RM, IT, finance, operations, and people functions. • Drive continuous improvement to elevate GCC delivery maturity and alignment with global delivery teams. • Run the GCC as an extension of DEPT®'s regional delivery teams across EMEA and AMER, with shared craft ownership and regular working rhythms. • Make the GCC easy for regional managers to access for resourcing and escalation, regardless of time zone. • Earn trust through delivery proof points, transparent reporting, and visible presence in regional leadership forums. • 6. Culture, Engagement & People Development • Build an engaged, high-performance culture grounded in accountability, transparency, and growth. • Establish communication rhythms, cultural integration initiatives, and leadership development programs. • Partner with craft leads to create career pathways, skills development plans, and capability uplift initiatives. • Mentor emerging leaders and support the ongoing development of India-based technical and delivery leadership.
