Requirements

• You have deep infrastructure & platform engineering expertise: 5+ years in platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles with hands-on experience building and operating cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent, Kubernetes, Terraform, Cloud Infra CI/CD) in production environments at scale • You are a proven people leader: Experience managing engineering teams (4-6+ people), with demonstrated success coaching engineers, managing performance, driving team delivery, and building inclusive high-trust team cultures • You thrive in ambiguity and complexity: You excel at taking high-level business objectives and translating them into actionable technical strategies. Responsibilities

• Manage a team to deliver high-quality platform engineering projects within scope and budget constraints. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, QA, DevOps, security, business partnerships, customer success, sales, marketing, finance, legal, HR, operations, procurement to ensure alignment of project goals across the organization. • Lead and mentor team members in a remote work environment while fostering an inclusive culture that promotes diversity and equity within KOHO's technology department. • Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices for agile development, DevSecOps, cloud computing (AWS), containerization technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation tools like Terraform or Ansible and monitoring solutions including Prometheus & Grafana to optimize performance. • Develop a roadmap with the product management team for platform engineering initiatives that aligns with business objectives while ensuring technical excellence in software development practices such as test-driven development, code reviews, pair programming, static analysis tools like SonarQube and security audits using SAST (Static Application Security Testing) tools. • Represent the technology department at executive meetings to provide insights on platform engineering needs, challenges, opportunities for innovation while advocating for resources necessary to support team growth and development initiatives within budget constraints. • Participate in strategic planning sessions with senior management including business partnerships, marketing & sales teams as well as the CTO/CTO Council at KOHO to align technology vision across all levels of leadership ensuring a shared understanding of organizational goals for platform engineering and fintech innovation within Canada. • Engage in continuous learning by attending industry conferences, workshops, webinars or online courses related to emerging technologies such as AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), blockchain technology, quantum computing while staying abreast of best practices for remote team management and leadership. • Maintain open communication channels with senior leaders including the CTO Council at KOHO through regular status updates on project progress, challenges faced by teams or individuals as well as providing feedback based on experience gained from managing diverse technology projects across different industries within Canada's fintech sector to drive continuous improvement and innovation. • Actively participate in professional networking activities such as attending industry events hosted at KOHO headquarters located in Toronto, Ontario (Canada) or other regional hubs while building relationships with peers from diverse backgrounds across the technology department within Canada's fintech sector to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. • Support team members by providing guidance on career development opportunities including mentorship programs offered at KOHO as well as helping individuals navigate through internal
