Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to own a docs function solo or near-solo — not a cog in a large docs team • Can read and write code fluently enough to produce real examples (doesn't need to be a full engineer, but needs to be technical) • Exceptionally structured thinker — can impose order on a complex, sprawling content surface • High agency executor: identifies what needs to exist, builds it, ships it • Forward-thinking about the future of docs: has a point of view on LLM-optimized content, agent-accessible APIs, and modern tooling for keeping docs fresh and accurate • Style points • Experience writing docs for developer infrastructure (APIs, SDKs, security primitives) • Familiarity with crypto, fintech, or security products • Has strong opinions about what great developer docs look like — and can defend them • Has experimented with or built tooling to automate docs quality: linting, freshness checks, LLM-assisted generation, etc.

Responsibilities

• Docs are a critical part of Turnkey's product — they're often the first and deepest touchpoint for developers evaluating and building on the platform. Today ownership is diffuse: engineers write their own, nobody owns the whole, and maintenance is a tragedy of the commons. This is the first dedicated hire to fix that. • You'll own the entire docs surface from day one, with no committee and no bureaucracy. This is a rare chance to build a world-class developer documentation function from scratch at a company where docs are actually a product priority. And because Turnkey's core product is increasingly central to agentic use cases, you'll be responsible for something most docs roles never touch: ensuring that LLMs and agents can actually discover, understand, and use Turnkey's APIs. The docs person here isn't just writing for humans. • Own the entire docs surface: audit, restructure, and continuously improve existing content • Write and maintain reference docs, guides, and code examples across the full API and SDK • Build the systems and standards that will govern docs as the product scales • Partner closely with engineering to ship docs alongside features, not after • Develop and maintain code examples that are accurate, idiomatic, and actually useful to developers • Think proactively about how LLMs and agents interact with Turnkey's docs — structure, format, and maintain content with machine readability and agentic use in mind

Benefits

• Full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA, 401(k) — detailed benefits overview available as we get further in the process • Paid parental leave • $3,000/yr learning and development budget to attend industry conferences • Multiple team offsites per year
