Requirements

Demonstrated expertise with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in at least one of the specified technologies.
Python. Bash scripting
Relevant experience in working with programmatic CI/CD pipelines (Groovy is a plus)
Knowledge of Linux, networking, virtualization tools.
Experience in engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.
Experience in building backend applications at scale.
Proficiency in the English language.
Knowledge of source control tools.
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (inheritance, polymorphism, classes, instances, properties).
Knowledge of networking protocols (routing layer, transport layer, application layer), and serialization formats like JSON and XML.
Knowledge of document databases.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain a robust infrastructure for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Python & Groovy scripts to automate build processes.
Develop, deploy, and manage cloud services such as AWS EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, etc., ensuring high availability and scalability of applications.
Monitor system performance and health through tools like Nagios or Prometheus; troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime using Python scripts for automation where possible.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, security, and product management to align infrastructure capabilities with business goals.
Implement best practices in code quality assurance by writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests using Python frameworks like PyTest or Behave for Groovy applications.
Document existing systems and create new documentation as required; maintain a knowledge base to support onboarding of new team members.
Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools and technologies in Python & Groovy, attending relevant webinars/conferences when possible or self-study through online resources.
