Requirements
• You are an AI-focused software engineer with strong backend fundamentals and hands-on experience delivering LLM-enabled applications. You have delivered production systems and apply a reliability-first approach across agentic orchestration and applied AI pipelines. You operate with increasing autonomy on well-scoped problems, while collaborating closely with senior engineers on system design, architecture decisions, and long-term technical direction. • You have hands-on experience implementing LangGraph workflows in production environments. You can take a workflow from vague intent to a shippable service with clear contracts, guardrails, evaluation, and observability. • You operate effectively in cross-functional delivery environments. You can partner directly with Business Analysts and org leaders to clarify outcomes, translate business needs into acceptance criteria, and communicate tradeoffs without getting stuck in ambiguity. You bring delivery discipline, iterate efficiently, and focus on measurable outcomes. • You apply a production engineering mindset. You build AI systems that are adopted in day-to-day operations, with monitoring, cost controls, and reliability built into the implementation. • 3–6 years of software engineering experience (backend/services preferred). • LangGraph experience is required (demonstrated implementation of real workflows).Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, including API/service design. • Experience building production services in a compiled, runtime-stable language (e.g., Go) for high-throughput, low-latency workloads (streaming I/O, async workers, and media/transcription pipelines). • Strong SQL skills; comfort working with warehouse-backed applications (Snowflake preferred). • Practical experience shipping LLM applications: • tool/function calling, structured outputs, and schema validation • retrieval patterns (RAG), routing, and context management • prompt/version management and evaluation methodologies • Production engineering fundamentals: • retries/idempotency, async job patterns, monitoring, and cost controls • Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills: • ability to lead technical discovery conversations • ability to translate business intent into acceptance criteria and implementation plans • Botpress or similar agent builders (agent authoring and tool packaging). • Streaming systems exposure (WebSockets / HTTP2), backpressure + reconnect logic. • Audio fundamentals (FFmpeg basics, codecs) and experience with transcription providers. • Serverless/event-driven architectures (Cloudflare Workers/AWS), queues, observability platforms. • Experience contributing to production systems and growing ownership over time, with mentorship from senior engineers. • Equal Employment Opportunity Information
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain complex application engine systems to ensure high performance and reliability in processing large volumes of transactions efficiently. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, database administrators, network specialists, quality assurance testers, business analysts, product managers, customer service representatives, senior management, HR personnel, IT security experts to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance. • Monitor application engine systems for any issues or bottlenecks that may arise during peak transaction periods; troubleshoot problems promptly using established protocols while ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining data integrity throughout the process. • Implement best practices in coding standards, security measures, system architecture design principles to ensure robustness of application engine systems against potential threats or vulnerabilities that may compromise performance or confidentiality of sensitive information processed by these engines. • Regularly review industry trends and emerging technologies related to the development and maintenance of high-performance computing platforms; identify opportunities for system enhancements, upgrades, optimizations based on evolving business needs while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives in terms of scalability, efficiency, reliability. • Provide technical support to internal stakeholds including software developers, database administrators, network specialists, quality assurance testers, product managers, customer service representatives; assist them by sharing knowledge on application engine systems' architecture design principles and coding standards for optimal system performance while ensuring data integrity throughout the process. • Participate in continuous training programs to stay updated with latest industry trends related to high-performance computing platforms development & maintenance including emerging technologies, best practices in security measures; share knowledge gained through internal workshops or presentations aimed at enhancing team's skills and expertise. • Collaborate closely with senior management, HR personnel, IT security experts to develop strategies for talent acquisition & retention within the organization while ensuring alignment of recruitment efforts towards hiring individuals possessing strong technical knowledge in application engine systems development; maintain open communication channels between different departments involved throughout entire process from initial screenings through final interviews. • Develop and implement comprehensive performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness of various aspects related with high level Application Engineer II role including system reliability, efficiency during peak transaction periods etc.; analyze data collected using statistical tools; present findings in regular reports shared across relevant stakeholders for informed decision making regarding future enhancements or modifications required within existing infrastructure setup. • Maintain detailed documentation of all activities undertaken related with application engine systems development & maintenance including troubleshooting procedures followed during problem resolution efforts alongwith providing clear instructions on how these documents can be accessed by relevant stakeholders when needed; ensure proper archiving practices are ad
