Requirements

• Developing in Java with clean and maintainable code, having design patterns and the application’s architecture in mind. • Experience architecting cloud-native applications on AWS. • Good knowledge of engineering processes, structural design, and system optimization. • Excellent engineering skills and a good understanding of Computer Science fundamentals. • Leadership: you’re able to take initiative and bring a subject to completion with little to no supervision. You have experience supporting and mentoring other team members. • Experience with relational RDBMS (such as Postgres) and SQL. • Code Quality practices (experience in using testing frameworks), constructive code reviews. • Tooling: Knowledge of build tools (Maven or Gradle); Experience with a version control system such as git • Additional comments • This role is based in Bochum. Responsibilities

• Work with Product Managers and UX designers to specify new features and improve our products. • Develop those new features with the end user in mind, and write unit tests and integration tests for them. • Participate in the definition of the architecture of our applications on AWS. • Have strong ownership of the team’s work and drive sprints to completion. • Deploy and monitor our new features in production. • Help solve production problems related to our team’s features. • Work with agile methodologies. • Contribute to the definition of the team’s short and long-term goals.
