Gravie - Data Platform Architect

• Extensive Experience: 8-15 years of experience architecting and operating large-scale data integrations, streaming pipelines, and operational data movement in a cloud environment. • Deep Streaming Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Kafka, Flink, and Debezium (or similar), and an understanding of stateful stream processing and "exactly-once" delivery semantics is critical. • Cloud Proficiency: Extensive experience with AWS • Data Observability Expertise: Deep understanding of data observability concepts like freshness, distribution, volume, schema, and lineage, and how to apply them to real-time healthcare streams–relying on Data Reliability OKRs to influence change. • Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, with a deep understanding of HIPAA, ePHI, and the requirements for maintaining secure data exchange and access with external parties. • Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python. A foundational knowledge of JVM-based languages like Java is highly preferred. • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to take complex, ambiguous problems and independently drive them to concrete, measurable solutions that align with business goals. • Communication Skills: Success in driving results through influence and collaboration, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and executive leadership. • Previous venture-backed start-up company experience. • In order to create a more equitable and sustainable future for employer-sponsored health insurance, we need talented people doing amazing work.
