Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required • Previous Big 4 experience or an active CPA license • 4–7+ years of accounting or finance experience • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and finance operations • Experience driving key month end close processes • Comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities • Highly organized with strong attention to detail • Experience documenting processes and maintaining internal knowledge bases (e.g., Notion; monthly accounting reconciliations • Proactive, collaborative, and willing to jump in where needed
Responsibilities
• You’ll work closely with Finance leadership to keep things running smoothly, proactively surface issues, and help improve processes as the company scales. • Play a key role in developing and running a timely and accurate monthly close • Support treasury management, monitor cash balances and partner with Finance leadership to flag risks and opportunities related to cash flow • Prepare and support quarterly tax payments and filings, coordinating with external tax advisors as needed • Own and prepare monthly bank reconciliations, prepare and review accrued expenses and related schedules • Manage prepaid expenses, including setup, amortization, and reconciliation • Prepare month-over-month (MoM) flux/variance analysis and supporting explanations • Support month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting • Maintain and update accounting documentation, including Notion pages, close checklists, and process guides • Ensure documentation is accurate, audit-ready, and consistently maintained • Work in a fully remote environment!

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. For Colorado, the salary range is: $115,000 - $140,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. This salary range is a good faith estimate of what Vetcove may pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
