Requirements
• 5+ years building user-facing web applications in small product teams or startups • Strong experience with Vue 3 (Composition API), TypeScript, and modern CSS (Tailwind). If you are currently strong in React + TypeScript and happy to move into Vue 3 quickly, we are open to that. • You use AI tools regularly, but still read and own the code you ship • Solid backend skills, ideally with PHP/Laravel or similar MVC framework. Bonus if you have touched TypeScript backends – we have some pieces there too, but the core is Laravel; REST or GraphQL APIs • Experience building resilient integrations with third-party APIs • Comfortable working with analytics/monitoring tools (PostHog, GA4, Sentry or similar) • Proven ability to ship fast: you can break work down, ship small, and iterate • Clear written and spoken English – you can write specs, tickets and PRs others can follow • Daytime overlap with South African hours • Experience in crypto, trading or fintech • Experience with Inertia.js, Laravel Vapor, or serverless deployments • Experience with feature flags or config-driven flows • Cloud platforms like Vercel, AWS or GCP • Small, sharp team. Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a full stack application using Vue3, TypeScript, CSS for Crypto Banter's product development needs in the cryptocurrency space. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user stories, prioritize backlog items, and plan sprint activities based on client feedback and market trends within the crypto industry. • Implement frontend features using Vue3 for a responsive design that provides an engaging user experience across various devices while ensuring accessibility standards are met. • Integrate backend services with TypeScript to create robust, scalable APIs which facilitate seamless communication between different components of the application and external systems such as blockchain networks or other financial platforms. • Optimize CSS for performance without compromising design aesthetics ensuring fast load times across all targeted regions including remote locations like Portugal, Spain, UAE, UK, Cape Town, Netherlands etc. • Conduct code reviews to maintain high coding standards and ensure best practices are followed within the team's development workflow. • Monitor application performance using tools such as Google Analytics or custom dashboards; identify bottlenecks in user experience (UX) flow and implement improvements accordingly. • Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and advancements relevant to cryptocurrency platforms by attending webinars, conferences, workshops, etc., ensuring the product remains competitive within its niche market segment. • Document codebase effectively for team knowledge sharing; create comprehensive guides or tutorials as needed to assist other engineers in understanding and working with complex system integrations related to cryptocurrency technologies like smart contracts on Ethereum blockchain, etc. • Communicate regularly with stakeholders including product managers, design teams, customer service representatives, marketing personnel; provide technical insights into the development process while also understanding and incorporating their feedback for continuous improvement of the application's features and user interface (UI). • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR when handling personal information within Crypto Banter’s platform. Implement necessary security measures to protect sensitive financial transactions against potential cyber threats or breaches, including regular audits of the codebase for vulnerabilities and prompt patching where needed. • Participate in team meetings; contribute ideas on product enhancements based on user feedback while also providing technical solutions that align with business goals within Crypto Banter’s cryptocurrency platform development lifecycle.
