Bellese - Senior Engineer, Full Stack
Requirements
• US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US. • Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation and must be able to hold a position of Public Trust. • Disqualifying factors include medical or recreational marijuana use, which may affect ability to obtain Public Trust due to federal illegality despite state laws allowing such usage.
Responsibilities
• Design and implement software solutions across the full stack spectrum including frontend, backend, databases, APIs, etc. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements for new features/products based on user feedback and market analysis. • Write clean, maintainable code following best practices in coding standards such as PEP 8 (Python) or similar style guides relevant to the technology stack used by UCM. • Conduct thorough testing of software components using a variety of test suites including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests ensuring high quality code delivery. • Monitor application performance in production environments utilizing tools like New Relic or Datadog to identify bottlenecks and optimize system efficiency. • Implement security best practices within the software development lifecycle including secure coding standards (OWASP Top 10), regular vulnerability scanning, code reviews for potential security flaws, etc. • Participate in DevSecOps processes by integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensuring compliance with company's internal policies as well as industry regulations (e.g., GDPR). • Provide technical leadership to junior engineers through mentorship, code reviews, pair programming sessions or workshops on specific technologies used within UCM projects. • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in software engineering by attending conferences, webinars, reading industry publications like IEEE Software Engineering Magazine, etc., to continuously improve personal skill set as well as contribute knowledge back into team through presentations or workshops at UCM. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders including product managers, business analysts and non-technical colleagues by translating technical requirements into understandable terms using visual aids like diagrams, flowcharts etc., to ensure alignment of expectations between engineering teams and other departments within the company.
