Requirements
• 6+ years designing high-quality product experiences • Strong visual and interaction design skills with a sharp eye for detail • Experience designing complex systems, not just individual screens • Ability to work through ambiguity and drive projects forward independently • Clear communicator who can articulate decisions and influence product direction • Experience designing native mobile apps (iOS and/or Android) • Thoughtful collaborator who makes teammates better • Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers. • Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following: • US employees (any location): $189,000–236,200 USD • Canadian employees (any location): $178,600–223,200 CAD
Responsibilities
• Lead design for major mobile initiatives from concept through launch and iteration • Shape the vision for Mercury’s native iOS and Android experiences • Turn complex financial workflows into simple, intuitive interactions • Work closely with product managers and engineers to decide what to build and why • Prototype ideas quickly to explore direction, test assumptions, and refine details • Design polished, production-ready interfaces with exceptional craft and precision • Contribute to our design systems and help evolve patterns across platforms • Raise the quality bar for interaction, visual design, and product thinking across the team
