Requirements
• You’re comfortable working across the stack. Experience with React is a strong plus, especially if you enjoy building thoughtful, user-facing experiences. • You understand that velocity and quality aren’t opposites. When well done, they’re multiplicative. • You think in terms of outcomes, not just implementations. You care about solving real customer problems, even when the requirements aren’t perfectly defined. • You prefer pragmatic, well-reasoned solutions over theoretical perfection, and you know when “good and shipped” beats “perfect and late. • You’re comfortable owning features end-to-end, from vague ideas to production impact and iteration. • Start with a 1–2 week onboarding onsite in Los Angeles/Santa Monica with our CTO — travel and accommodations fully covered. • After onboarding, you’ll work remotely with the freedom and flexibility that comes with it. • Note: At this time, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain software systems. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements for new features and enhancements. • Write clean, efficient code that follows best practices in engineering design patterns. • Test applications thoroughly using a variety of testing methods including unit tests, integration tests, and performance benchmarks. • Troubleshoot issues reported by users or detected during monitoring to ensure system stability and uptime. • Document software architecture and technical specifications for future reference and onboarding purposes. • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in web development, including JavaScript frameworks like React Native, Node.js, Express, Vue.js, AngularJS, etc., as well as backend languages such as Python (Django), Ruby (Rails), PHP, Java (Spring Boot). • Participate actively in code reviews to maintain high coding standards and share knowledge with peers. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes by identifying bottlenecks or areas for optimization.
