Requirements
• Minimum 2 years in a security focused engineering role • Minimum 5 years in software engineering role. • Proficient coding ability in at least one modern programming language such as Typescript/Javascript, Ruby, Java, Python, Golang • Practical experience securing cloud environments • Strong communication skills: able to discuss complex technical concepts with both engineers and non-engineers • Strong ownership and bias for action: proactive, drives projects from start to finish, leads cross-functional projects while keeping stakeholders informed. • Leader and Mentor: recognized leader in areas of responsibility who enjoys sharing knowledge and mentoring others. • Operational Excellence: raises the bar on software quality
Responsibilities
• Partner with other technology teams to design and implement secure software and practices. • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to establish and improve existing security controls. • Implement checks in pipeline for the SDLC process automation. • Perform security reviews of application code. • Take part in team on call rotation for monitoring alerts related to security events. • Advocate and educate about best practices in cybersecurity within your organization. • Create tooling and automation processes to efficiently respond to detected security threats. • Partner with stakeholders, including business leaders and other engineers, to mitigate identified risks promptly.
