Requirements
• 3–6 years in mainframe operations, storage, or backup administration • Hands-on experience with CA 1, z/OS, JCL, and SDSF • Solid grasp of backup/restore, tape/ VTL concepts, and DR methodologies • Experience with ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change, and ReleaseAbility to work rotational shifts, weekends, and on-call as needed • Encora is a global company that offers Software and Digital Engineering solutions. Responsibilities
• Backup Operations & Administration • Manage and monitor daily mainframe backup operations using CA 1. • Ensure successful execution of scheduled backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis. • Validate backup logs, reports, and error messages to ensure compliance with SLAs. • Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution for mainframe environments. • Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, and DR teams to ensure systems can be restored within agreed RTO/RPO objectives. • Maintain accurate documentation for backup/restore and DR procedures. • Governance & Compliance • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and data retention guidelines. • Provide audit support related to backup and recovery controls.
