Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline • 8+ years of relevant experience within telecoms or connectivity technologies, including substantial work with SIM/eSIM, APDU, and ISO 7816 • Demonstrated leadership experience—managing engineering or technical teams is essential • Deep understanding of 3GPP, ETSI, and GSMA standards relating to SIM/eSIM • Proven expertise in Java/Java Card or scripting language development for SIM technologies • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills • Track record of managing multiple priorities, project timelines, and resource planning • Desirable • Experience with Git, Postman, or smart card test tools (e.g., Comprion) • Knowledge of Kanban/Agile methodologies • Experience working in a global or cross-functional environment
Responsibilities
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of SIM Engineers, supporting both their technical and professional development • Provide clear technical and strategic leadership for all SIM/eSIM projects and initiatives • Oversee and review the design, development, validation, and maintenance of electrical and logical profiles for SIM and eSIM products • Drive the implementation of Java Card applets for SIM/eSIM services, ensuring compliance with 3GPP, ETSI, and GSMA standards • Approve and ensure the quality of technical documentation, including applet specifications and test plans • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with teams such as mobile core networks, security, and device vendors • Champion quality assurance in development, testing, deployment, and support of SIM/eSIM solutions • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, ensuring successful project outcomes • Promote a collaborative, learning-oriented culture within the team and across the organization
