Requirements
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python • Hands-on experience with dbt, Airflow, and modern cloud data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform • Clear understanding of data governance and security best practices • Product minded Engineers, you translate messy business needs into clean, scalable models • Comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote, async team • A strong sense of ownership with a bias for action and long-term thinking • Curious about AI and how it can improve efficiency and decision-making
Responsibilities
• You like to get things right. A pragmatic perfectionist who sees the data layer as the foundation for great product choices. You know how to balance readability, simplicity, and scalability with performance and long-term maintainability. • Your top priority is to shape our internal data platform to support everything from internal insights to AI-powered features. You'll be one of three core members in our data team, with real ownership over what we build, how we build it, and what comes next. • You'll work on: • Designing and maintaining scalable, secure data pipelines that feed BigQuery from diverse sources • Owning our infrastructure-as-code setup using Terraform • Automating data QA, modeling, and maintenance tasks using scripting and AI • Optimizing query performance and minimizing latency across the data stack • Guiding data governance, including implementing role-based access control and security policies • Our data stack: BigQuery, dbt (data build tool), Airflow, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Python, SQL, Omni (business intelligence tool) • You'll collaborate across product and engineering, helping teams access trusted data and uncover valuable insights, faster. • WHAT YOU WON'T DO • Stand-ups and ticket assignment.
