Requirements

• Experience in software engineering, with a strong backend development focus. • Strong proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience developing production-grade applications. • Solid experience with Quarkus and Angular. • Mandatory hands-on experience with AWS, particularly SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and API Gateway. • Experience designing and developing microservices and distributed architectures. • Understanding of event-driven architecture and cloud-based application development. • Experience with observability practices, including metrics, logging, and tracing. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. • Practical experience using AI-powered engineering tools, such as Cursor or developer copilots. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and cross-functional teams. • Experience with reactive programming, particularly Mutiny or Project Reactor. • Previous experience working with financial markets, investment banking, or financial systems. • Experience building highly scalable and resilient applications in cloud environments. • Familiarity with modern AI-assisted software development practices and tools. • English level • Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate • Work Type: Remote • Work Type: • Location: Brazil • Location: • Legal & Hiring Information

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance backend applications using Java, focusing on performance, scalability, resilience, and maintainability. • Build and maintain microservices with Quarkus, contributing to modern cloud-native architectures. • Develop and maintain frontend solutions using Angular, working across the application stack when required. • Design and implement event-driven solutions using AWS services such as SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway. • Work with distributed architectures and contribute to building reliable and resilient systems. • Implement and evolve observability practices, including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing. • Participate in architecture discussions, technical decision-making, code reviews, and initiatives focused on engineering quality. • Contribute to automation, continuous improvement, and engineering productivity. • Leverage AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor or developer copilots, to improve development productivity and delivery quality. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
