Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. • 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with previous leadership experience. • Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles. • Proficiency in ERP systems and/or QuickBooks, as well as advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs). • Strong analytical capabilities, high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to handle confidential information. • Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights for senior leadership. • Experience in change management & innovation (e.g. leading teams through financial system upgrades or process changes). • Familiarity with methods to optimize financial efficiency (e.g. streamlining accounts payable/receivable). • CPA or CMA preferred. • Not meeting all the requirements but still feel like you’d be a great fit? Responsibilities
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and annual closing processes to produce timely and accurate financial statements. • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. • Develop, implement, and maintain internal control systems and ensure compliance with GAAP and local, state, and federal tax laws. • Act as the primary liaison with external auditors to coordinate audits. • Lead, train, and mentor accounting staff. • Collaborative, with the ability and communication skills to translate financial data for non-finance stakeholders. • High ethical standards. • Forward-thinking and solution oriented. • Comfortable operating in an environment where scope is broad and ambiguity may be high.
Benefits
• Base salary of $175,000 to $200,000 + equity • Range(s) is subject to change.
