iwoca.co.uk - Full-Stack Engineer - Broker Terms Team
Requirements
• Backend engineering. You've designed and built backend systems that run in production, ideally in Python, Django and PostgreSQL. You've modelled their data with performance and maintenance in mind. • Frontend engineering. You've built and maintained user interfaces in production, ideally in TypeScript and React. • Ownership. You've taken features end to end, and kept them working once people relied on them. • Trade-offs. You've weighed delivery speed against the long-term health of a system, and can explain what you chose and why. • AI leverage. You've built agentic workflows, or used AI to scale your engineering output beyond what you could deliver alone. You judge when to use it and when not to. • Communication. You write and speak clearly, directly, and concisely. You adapt technical detail to your audience. • DevOps. You've used containers and CI/CD pipelines to deploy your code. • Experimentation. You've worked on A/B tests or other experiments, and used the results to decide what to build next. • Product thinking. You've found the business need behind a feature request, and planned the technical work to meet it. • Financial services. You've worked on lending, payments or pricing systems.
