MONEI - Senior Backend Engineer
Requirements
• Experience: 5-7+ years in a demanding software engineering role. • AWS Mastery: Proven experience building, testing, and deploying distributed, highly available serverless systems on AWS. • AWS Mastery: • Tooling & Methodologies: Microservices, event-driven programming, and automated testing. • Tooling & Methodologies: • Coding Fundamentals: Strong coding skills without AI assistance, verified in our live coding interview. We encourage AI tools, but you must understand and critically evaluate what they produce—no blind vibe-coding. • Coding Fundamentals: • Communication: Excellent English skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting. • Communication: • Fluency with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex). We believe in AI-leveraged development. • AWS certification. • Experience with fintech, payment platforms, or SaaS products. • Expertise in handling high-load systems and addressing scalability challenges. • Background in fast-paced startup environments. • Spanish language proficiency (B2+).
