EarnIn - Staff Product Designer
Requirements
• 7+ years of experience as a design systems or product designer • Systems thinker with meticulous attention to detail • Proven experience leading or collaborating on the creation of design system architecture for digital products • Experience partnering with engineers to translate Figma designs into production code • Experience building or using AI tools for Figma-to-code workflows or design tooling • Strong Figma craft: component properties, variants, auto layout, and tokens • Comfortable writing documentation other designers actually use • Ability to set the bar for new standards in how we should design our product • Strong understanding of how systems integrate into workflows and ability to collaborate cross-functionally on implementation • Knowledgeable about WCAG requirements, Android, and iOS guidelines • Figma magician; experience with HTML, CSS, SVG, or Markdown is a plus • A Note on AI in the Hiring Process: EarnIn may use Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered tools during the hiring process, including tools that generate summaries or notes for interviewers, review resumes, assist with scheduling, or help identify themes across candidate responses and profiles for a given role. Responsibilities
• Work with the Design team to evolve and extend the visual design language, translating new designs with solid systems thinking • Evolve the design system for cross-functional collaboration between product and engineering, considering iOS, Android, and Web • Build component libraries, create high-level pattern guidance, and partner on new features while future-proofing • Define and document design patterns for reusability • Guide product designers on how to use the design system to the fullest extent, leveraging existing patterns and extending them when necessary • Lead the education and adoption of the design system, establishing the guidelines and rulebook for long-term implementation and maintenance • Build and maintain the AI tooling that turns the system components into working code and prototypes
