Requirements
• 1–2 years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role (e.g., Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Support, or Consulting) • Background in software development or hands-on coding experience (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar) • Understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and web technologies (HTTP, JSON, OAuth, etc.) • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • Familiarity with identity and access management concepts (SSO, MFA, OAuth, SAML, etc.) • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Exposure to enterprise SaaS environments and security best practices • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and think critically under pressure • The OTE range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:$148,000—$203,000 USD • Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. Responsibilities
• Partner with Account Executives to support the sales cycle through technical discovery, product demonstrations, and solution design • Build and deliver compelling demos showcasing Okta’s capabilities tailored to customer needs • Assist in responding to technical questions, RFPs, and security questionnaires • Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and solution architectures for customer use cases • Collaborate with customers to understand business and technical requirements • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-relevant value propositions • Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment • Stay current with identity, security, and cloud technology trends
