Mistral AI - VP of Engineering, Le Chat

• Lead the engineering team to develop and maintain high-quality software products for our AI platform. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, QA, sales, marketing, customer success, legal, finance, HR, facilities, IT operations, infrastructure, security, compliance, partnerships to ensure alignment of engineering efforts and business goals. • Drive the adoption of best practices in software development lifecycle (SDLC) within the team while ensuring code quality through rigorous testing procedures. • Oversee technical architecture decisions for scalability, performance optimization, security enhancements, compliance with industry standards, and integration capabilities to support our product roadmap. • Facilitate knowledge sharing among engineering teams by organizing regular internal workshops or tech talks on emerging technologies relevant to the AI field. • Mentor junior engineers in their professional growth within Le Chat's culture, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment for skill development. • Participate actively in strategic planning sessions with senior leadership team members to align engineering initiatives with business objectives and long-term company vision. • Represent the VP of Engineering at all internal meetings involving cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication channels between departments for seamless project execution. • Engage in continuous learning by staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, best practices and methodologies to drive innovation within Le Chat's engineering team.
