Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years in web application development working with both front-end and back-end technologies • Working experience with React and TypeScript for building modern web applications • Working experience with Java and Spring Boot or Python and one of its frameworks for back-end services • Experience building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs • Good knowledge of CSS and UI development practices • Ability to communicate effectively in a remote environment — clear written communication, reliable async collaboration • Familiarity with AI coding assistants and a willingness to build a disciplined workflow around them • Familiar with TDD — good instinct for writing tests, increasingly important when working with AI-generated code • Experience working on a SaaS platform, or at least a custom-built product • Experience with B2B SaaS products, FinTech or HRTech • Understanding of security principles and performance optimization • Self-directed and curious: you take ownership of your tasks, seek feedback proactively, and drive your own growth without waiting to be pushed • What it's like working at Remote People • Our service & product. Responsibilities
• You'll join one of our cross-functional squads — working alongside a Product Manager, a Designer, Front-End, Back-End and QA Engineers — building the world's best Employer of Record platform. We are a remote-first team spread across Asia and Europe, so you'll collaborate asynchronously and across time zones as a matter of course. You'll participate in the full implementation cycle across both front-end and back-end, contribute to technical discussions, and be expected to take increasing ownership of your work as you grow. AI tooling is a first-class part of how we work: you'll use it to accelerate your output and develop sharp judgment about when to trust it and when to push back. • Develop and maintain web applications using React and TypeScript on the front-end, and Java or Python on the back-end • Build well-structured and scalable APIs to support front-end and back-end functionality • Participate in the full implementation cycle from design to rollout • Use AI coding tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) as a standard part of your workflow, while developing the judgment to review and validate generated code • Write unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability • Collaborate with Engineers and Product Manager to plan and implement new features • Participate in Engineering Chapters and contribute to architecture discussions
