Requirements
• Experience: 8+ years of industry experience designing and building complex systems and delivering quality software. 3+ years of demonstrated success managing engineering teams, including providing mentorship, feedback, and investing in the career growth of team members • Technical Proficiency: Strong technical background in software development. You have a strong track record of delivering high quality scalable software • Technical Proficiency: • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build a world-class team by hiring exceptional talent, coaching and developing engineers, and cultivating pragmatic engineering decision-making. Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and autonomy. • Communication: Excellent communication skills with a history of healthy collaboration with product managers, engineers, and other engineering managers on developing roadmaps and executing against them. • Communication: • Problem-Solving: Well-developed curiosity and enjoyment in building creative solutions to complex problems. Ability to prioritize urgency, excellence, and delivery in a fast-paced and high-growth environment. • Problem-Solving: • Experience working in FinTech and familiar with major payment rails • Proficient in Java frameworks and tools used at Flex, including Spring (core/web/boot), Gradle, JUnit, and JVM (memory/performance tuning, GC). • Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture, REST APIs, Message Queues, and scalable architectures. • Experience with AWS (EKS, Aurora RDS, Elasticache, DynamoDB) and containerization tools. • Flex takes a market-based approach to pay, and compensation may vary depending on your primary work location. Work locations are categorized into one of three tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be commensurate with their experience, qualifications, and Flex’s internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. • Tier 1 (NYC/SF/Seattle): $200,000—$250,000 USD • Tier 1 (NYC/SF/Seattle): • Tier 2: $180,000—$225,500 USD • Tier 2: • Tier 3: $170,000—$212,500 USD • Tier 3: • We understand that it takes a diverse team of highly intelligent, curious, determined, empathetic, and self aware people to grow a successful company. Responsibilities

Provide coaching and development opportunities to cultivate talent and drive team excellence. • Leadership & Mentorship: • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, designers, operations, and business leaders to evolve the team's vision and roadmap by thoroughly understanding customer needs. Ensure seamless collaboration across disciplines to build impactful products and platform features. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Technical Excellence: Lead and participate in critical technical, design, strategy, and product discussions with leaders across the organization. Drive consensus around architectural and design decisions, ensuring our software remains scalable, secure, and maintainable. • Technical Excellence: • Product Development: Work with cross-functional partners to build impactful products and platform features. Define your team’s vision and roadmap by thoroughly understanding your customers’ needs.
