Requirements

This salary range covers multiple levels of engineering roles and final compensation will be determined considering various factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. • For candidates outside the US, including Canada, compensation is adjusted based on local market benchmarks.
Responsibilities
• Architect and implement high-performance authorization systems supporting real-time policy evaluation, scalable relationship modeling, and consistent permission enforcement across multi-tenant applications. • Build deep domain expertise in various authorization paradigms such as RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, hierarchical FGA, and policy-driven access control along with best practices for domain modeling and permission boundaries. • Work closely with enterprise customers to understand their compliance, governance, and access control requirements translating those needs into product features like delegated administration, advanced auditability, policy versioning, and conditional access. • Collaborate cross-functionally with other product teams, solutions engineering, and GTM ensuring Authorization integrates seamlessly within the broader WorkOS platform including AuthKit, SSO, Directory Sync, Audit Logs, and related developer workflows. • Explore new greenfield opportunities in authorization primitives such as real-time change propagation, agent identity, policy workflows, richer SDK capabilities, and deeper ecosystem integrations. • Play an active role in recruiting, mentoring, and developing the engineering team that will build and refine the Authorization product roadmap.
