Requirements
• 3+ years of professional experience in Solidity compiler development or related compiler projects (e.g., EVM-based languages, smart contract compilers) • Strong proficiency in Java with deep understanding of Java based compiler development and optimization • Solid foundation in compiler theory, including parsing techniques, type systems, and intermediate representations • Experience with formal methods or formal verification tools (e.g., SMT solvers, theorem provers, or verification frameworks) • Strong understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and smart contract execution models • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Experience with LLVM or similar compiler infrastructure • Knowledge of programming language semantics and type theory • Contributions to open-source compiler projects • Experience with Solidity or other blockchain programming languages
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain the frontend of our Solidity compiler toolchain to ensure a seamless user experience for developers compiling smart contract code. This includes creating an intuitive interface that allows users to easily input their own Ethereum bytecode as well as predefined test cases, with clear visual feedback on compilation results or errors encountered during the process. • Collaborate closely with backend engineers and product managers to understand user needs and incorporate new features into our toolchain based on those insights while ensuring that all updates are thoroughly tested for performance and security before release. This role may also involve participating in code reviews, attending meetings related to the Solidity compiler's development lifecycle, or contributing ideas during brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams. • Stay up-to-date on industry trends by regularly reading relevant publications and engaging with online communities focused on Ethereum smart contract security best practices; this knowledge will be used to enhance our toolchain's capabilities in detecting potential vulnerabilities or exploits within user code submissions, as well as inform decisions regarding future product directions. • Provide technical support for users experiencing difficulties with the Solidity compiler by troubleshooting common issues through direct communication channels such as email or chat systems; this may involve providing guidance on best practices when writing smart contracts in Ethereum's programming language, identifying potential sources of errors within user code submissions (e.g., syntax mistakes), and suggesting alternative approaches to achieve desired functionality without compromising security standards set forth by our product team. • Participate actively as part of a diverse group working towards improving accessibility across all aspects of the Solidity compiler toolchain; this includes advocating for inclusive design principles that accommodate users with disabilities when interacting directly through user interfaces or indirectly via documentation materials provided alongside our product offerings. • Engage in continuous learning opportunities such as attending conferences, workshops hosted by industry experts specializing specifically within blockchain technology domains like Ethereum smart contract development; these events serve not only to expand one's knowledge base but also foster networking connections with peers who share similar professional interests across various sectors related directly or indirectly towards advancing innovative solutions aimed at addressing current challenges faced by developers working within this rapidly evolving space. • Maintain open lines of communication between cross-functional teams including backend engineers, product managers and other stakeholders involved in the development lifecycle; actively participate during code reviews conducted regularly throughout each sprint cycle while providing constructive feedback aimed at improving overall quality assurance processes implemented across all layers within our software stack. • Collaborate closely with backend engineers to ensure seamless integration between frontend components and underlying server infrastr
