Responsibilities
• Pre-flight Checklist • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, physics, astronomy, mathematics, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience • 5+ years of experience supporting SDA, SSA/STC, orbital analysis, space operations, or related aerospace mission environments, or equivalent experience • Experience managing multiple projects at once in accordance with operational and budgetary plans and priorities • Experience leading technical teams, mission operations, or operational programs in fast-paced environments • Experience working with optical systems, telescopes, sensor operations, or space surveillance systems • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to operate effectively in time-sensitive situations • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities, customer deliverables, and distributed team coordination simultaneously • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively across distributed international teams and multiple time zones • Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for government clearances, preference for existing active clearances • Experience with optical telescopes, robotic enclosures, camera systems, observatory equipment, compute hardware, or remote sensing systems. • Experience supporting remote, distributed, or unmanned technical infrastructure. • Familiarity with site surveys, site readiness assessments, installation planning, commissioning, and acceptance testing. • Experience with preventive maintenance programs, spare parts planning, inventory control, or field service operations. • Experience in aerospace, defense, space domain awareness, observatory operations, industrial automation, telecom, or other high-reliability technical environments. • Familiarity with ISO, AS9100, or other quality/manufacturing compliance frameworks. • OSHA 30 certification. • PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar project/process management certification. • Experience in a startup, scale-up, or rapidly evolving technical operations environment. • We're building a constellation here, not looking for identical satellites.
