Requirements

Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure to support Rackspace's public cloud offerings as per business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, security, compliance, architecture, product management, customer success, sales, marketing, finance, legal, HR, facilities, and procurement for the delivery of services to customers in India or Gurgaon (remote).
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance using tools like Nagios/Zabbix. Troubleshoot issues with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring service continuity.
- Develop, test, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, optimize, document, maintain, upgrade, retire, or dispose of the cloud infrastructure as required by business needs to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement best practices for security compliance in all aspects of designing, developing, testing, monitoring, optimizing, deploying, upgrading, troubleshooting, documenting, maintaining, retiring, or disposing of the cloud infrastructure as required by business needs to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Provide technical support for customers using Rackspace's public cloud offerings in India or Gurgaon (remote). This includes assisting with onboarding new users, resolving issues related to service delivery, providing guidance on best practices, troubleshooting problems as they arise, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team for design reviews of cloud infrastructure changes or upgrades before implementation in production environments. This includes reviewing technical specifications, conducting code walkthroughs, testing new features, identifying potential issues, providing feedback on proposed solutions, and documenting findings to ensure alignment between business needs and IT capabilities.
- Participate actively in the Rackspace Professional Services Delivery Engineer community of practice by sharing knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and collaborating with peers across different teams for continuous improvement. This includes attending internal training sessions, webinars, conferences, or workshops on cloud infrastructure design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, documentation, maintenance, upgrade, retirement, disposal, security compliance, and customer support best practices as well as participating in peer reviews of code changes.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times by demonstrating excellent communication skills, teamwork, problem solving abilities, technical expertise, attention to detail, time management, adaptability, flexibility, initiative taking, and customer focus throughout the delivery process from design through retirement or disposal.
