Requirements
• 3-5 years shipping production full-stack code: front-end (React, Vue, JavaScript) and back-end (Node.js or Python). • Demonstrable proficiency building RESTful APIs, managing databases (SQL and NoSQL), and working with cloud infrastructure. • Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, Git, testing practices, and SOLID design principles. • Experience shipping end-to-end features in teams while balancing speed with code quality. • Can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders and document decisions for other engineers. • ### Nice-to-haves • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, or production monitoring and alerting. • Track record building reusable design systems or platform components other teams depend on. • Proactive interest in how AI and LLM tooling can improve development velocity. • You've shipped real features end-to-end and know the difference between moving fast and moving recklessly. You've inherited messy code and made it better, not just maintained it. You propose solutions to backend problems before being assigned them. You set up monitoring and testing before shipping, not after incidents force you to. You've changed your mind when peers presented stronger data. You mentor others unprompted and seek feedback even when it's uncomfortable.
Responsibilities
• Ship production-grade backend APIs and services handling real user traffic with measurable uptime SLAs. • Design secure, testable code across full stack using modern development principles and testing rigor. • Architect and optimize data pipelines, authentication systems, and integrations for critical performance paths. • Establish reusable component patterns and code standards while mentoring junior developers on implementation. • Own infrastructure setup, deployment pipelines, and production monitoring to catch issues before users do. • Identify technical debt and inefficiencies, then propose multi-sprint improvements with clear business impact.
