Requirements

• Strong technical background in artificial intelligence technologies relevant to our platform's focus areas. • Experience with strategic acquisitions and understanding their impact on business growth is required. • Ability to conduct market research within the AI ecosystem, specifically targeting companies that align with Mistral’s goals for innovation and expansion. • Proficiency in evaluating technical potential of products/technology from a strategic perspective as well as assessing fit with our current offerings is necessary. • Experience or knowledge in conducting thorough technical due diligence, including product testing, codebase review, architecture analysis, team structure evaluation, and understanding the target's roadmap for scalability. • Collaboration skills to partner effectively with Tech leads on defining strategic acquisition categories/criteria and pitch targets post initial evaluations. • Ability to provide technical insights that inform investment decisions and integration planning is required. • Experience working closely with senior leaders, such as the CEO and CTO, aligning M&A strategy with business objectives while providing learnings from AI market trends exploration.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate opportunities in relevant target companies within priority acquisition areas. • Conduct technical due diligence by testing products, reviewing codebases, architectures, tech stacks, assessing the technical team members and structure of potential targets. • Understand product roadmaps for scalability from a technical perspective. • Work with engineering teams to evaluate technical synergies and integration pathways. • Partner with Tech leads to define strategic acquisition categories and criteria. • Pitch target companies post initial technical evaluation to Product and Engineering leads. • Provide technical insights that inform investment decisions and integration planning for potential M&A opportunities. • Collaborate with CEO, CTO, and other senior leaders to align the acquisition strategy with business objectives based on learnings from AI market exploration.
