Requirements
• You will have an analytical degree in the fields of maths, science, economics, engineering, finance, operations, or research. • An understanding of wholesale power markets, power market analysis, regulation, and market design, gained in the Asian markets. • You are passionate about energy and energy decarbonisation. • You are comfortable in building and handling financial models and conducting financial analysis. • You are comfortable in handling data and numerical analysis. • You have demonstrated aptitude and appetite for using analysis to solve client problems, and clarity in explaining methods and concepts. • You are personable and professional, with excellent communication and presentation skills. • You are an effective team player. • You will preferably have energy sector experience – this is desirable however skills are more important than knowledge. • What a career at Baringa will give you • Putting People First. • Baringa is a People First company and wellbeing is at the forefront of our culture. Responsibilities
• We advise the organisations at the heart of this transformation, providing economic, commercial and strategic, financial consulting to energy companies, financial institutions, governments and regulators. Examples of our work include company and asset valuations for mergers and acquisitions, optimising portfolios from fuel contracting to generation dispatch, developing hedging strategies for vertically integrated energy companies, bid advisory, commercial due diligence for M&A and advising government on the costs and benefits of different future energy policy options. • The professionalism of our individuals, partnership approach to engagement and comprehensive package has created a truly unique consultancy.
