Requirements
• Experience building large-scale systems and working on complex backend architecture in high-bar environments (e.g. scaled startups or top-tier engineering orgs); strong backend fundamentals (Python preferred) • Recent experience operating in fast-paced, low-structure teams, with a track record of shipping quickly, making decisions with incomplete information, and operating with minimal process or oversight • Clear ownership of meaningful work: you can explain what you built, why it mattered, and what changed as a result, demonstrating end-to-end responsibility and strong decision-making • Comfort using AI tools as part of your development workflow, focusing on leverage, iteration speed, and judgment over manual coding • Ability to work across the stack: strong backend engineer who can also contribute to APIs, data workflows, and frontend when needed
Responsibilities
• Ship end-to-end features across backend, APIs, and frontend • Design and evolve scalable backend systems for complex financial workflows • Turn ambiguous problems into clear, practical solutions • Work closely with Product and Design to deliver customer impact • Make sound tradeoffs between speed, quality, and long-term scalability
